Dr Perring grew up in the Toowoomba area. Before medicine, he completed Podiatry training at the Queensland University of Technology. He worked in Brisbane as a Podiatrist before returning to university to complete medical school. Dr Perring completed his Doctor of Medicine at the Gold Coast with rotations in the new Gold Coast University Hospital. He has spent time working in the Toowoomba Hospital with rotations throughout many departments including Surgical, Medical, Cardiology, Renal, Paediatrics, Mental Health and Emergency. As well as completing Podiatry and Medical degrees and his Fellowship in General Practice, Dr Perring has completed a Diploma in Child Health from the University of Sydney.
Dr Perring is interested in all areas of General Practice but has an interest in chronic conditions such as Diabetes Mellitus management and well as heart and lung conditions. Owing to his previous career as a Podiatrist, Dr Perring is able to provide permanent correction of ingrown toenails with a procedure called "Partial Nail Avulsion".
Dr Perring enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.
